I came up with the concept for Guardians of the Garrison while waiting for Patch 6.0. I wanted to develop characters and have a good mix of serious story with a bit of comedy thrown in. The first comic I made was more of a commentary about the changes coming to healing and more specifically Discipline specced priests.
The comic is made using screenshots from the game. I'm no artist. If needed, I edit the screenshots in Photoshop or GIMP before importing them into Google Drive and using Draw to assemble them into the actual comic. For a few things I have used WoWModelViewer but with the file type changing with the new expansion, I'm not sure if it will be available for much longer. I strive to get all of the imagery in-game.
I anticipate doing story arcs and random one-off comics as the stories come to me. I want the main story arcs to follow the in-game story closely, but during content lulls I will probably do more one-offs that deal with whatever fancies me either with the game or outside of it.
